The Sea Sounds Summer Festival at Fougaro Beach in Santorini (Saint George) promises memorable music evenings, presenting some of the most acknowledged and popular artists of the native music scene.
For its 3rd live event, Sea Sounds Summer Festival welcomes Music Producer & Journalist George Dimitrakopoulos, for an original journey into the sounds of cinematic music and soundtracks.
For this first appearance, George Dimitrakopoulos will present a mix of screenings including cult movies such as The Big Blue – Luc Besson (1988), Life Aquatic – Wes Anderson (2014) or Contempt – Jean-Luc Godard (1963) with various soundtracks to “marry” two of his favorite habits: music and cinema.
While working as a journalist for one of the most renown papers of the Country (Athens Voice), his love for music has prompted him to deal with music in a number of ways, such as writing the book “The Soundtrack of the City“, which includes 40 interviews by international stage musicians who have appeared in Athens from 2004 to 2010.
As a Music Producer and a DJ, he has opened the concerts of Alexander Robotnick, Chromatics and Maria Minerva in Athens while he has worked as a resident DJ at the Onassis Foundation’s Hytra Restaurant, but also at many thematic parties, such as Street Food and Tunes of “deBop” and club nights of doc.tv and Klik Records. For seven years, he has been the curator of the “Sssh! Silent Movies” audiovisual project at Bios Roof.
Show starts at: 9 p.m. / Entrance Free
